Things You'll Need:
- 3 quarts of fresh popped corn
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup corn syrup
- 1/2 cup butter or magarine
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- a large saucepan
- a roasting pan
- a large spoon
- a popper corn popper or Jiffy pop
-
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 250 degrees Fahrenheit. Dust off your old popcorn popper, and pop 3 quarts of popcorn into a roasting pan.
-
Step 2
In a large saucepan stir brown sugar, corn syrup, butter, and salt on medium heat. Bring to a boil while stirring constantly. Careful it will get hot! Then boil ingredients without stirring for 5 minutes.
-
Step 3
Carefully remove saucepan pan from heat, and stir in the vanilla and the baking soda. Next pour mixture over the popcorn, and place roasting pan into the oven.
-
Step 4
Bake in the oven for 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Let cool, and then break it apart. That's it! Now enjoy, and if there is any leftover, store it in a tightly covered container.
