How to Knit a Reversible Moss Stitch
This simple stitch requires knowing how to do a knit stitch and a purl stitch. It adds beautiful textured look to any piece without a lot of effort. Also, the reversible moss stitch is completely reversible; your project won't have an unsightly "wrong" side.

How to Knit a Reversible Moss Stitch (with an even number of stitches)

Choose the yarn you want to work with and needles that match the weight of your yarn. See yarn packaging for needle size suggestions.

Cast on your stitches, in multiples of 2, in your preferred method of casting on (example: 15 x 2 = 30 stitches).

Row 1: *K1, P1, rep from * to endRow 2: *P1, K1, rep from * to end

Repeat these two rows until the piece reaches desired length.

Bind off, preferably using the basic bind-off.

The reversible moss stitch can also be knitted using multiples of 2 stitches plus 1 in your preferred method of casting on (example: 15 x 2 = 30 + 1 = 31 stitches).

Tips & Warnings
