Flower corsages are great gifts, surprises and decorative accessories for weddings, proms and other special occasions. However, corsages are expensive, and with every little expense adding up it's something you can make yourself and save some money.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Elastic
  • Artificial flowers & fillers
  • Floral tape
  • Ribbon
  • Needle and thread
  • Tape measure
  • Scissors
  1. Step 1

Select your flowers. Choose one big, bold flower or a couple smaller flowers that complement one another well. Cut the stems so that there is less than an inch of stem left.

  2. Step 2

Tape the stems together with floral tape if using more than one flower. Arrange the filler behind the flower so that it sticks up about an inch taller than the flower(s). Cut the stem to be even with the flower(s) stem(s). Tape these stems together with the green floral tape.

  3. Step 3

Measure the person's wrist who the flower corsage will be for. Then measure out the elastic band and cut it one inch shorter than the person's wrist measurement. Sew the elastic band so that it forms a loop that can be slid over the hand.

  4. Step 4

Wrap a ribbon around the floral stems and tie it into a tight, secure bow. Then take a needle and thread and sew the flowers to the elastic band. Sew through the ribbon and tape for the most secure corsage possible.

  5. Step 5

Slip the corsage on the intended person's wrist. Enjoy!

Tips & Warnings
  • Don't use too many flowers, the corsage will look cluttered.
