1. Set yourself apart by choosing college apparel that fits well. Classic college student apparel, the T-shirt and shorts or jeans, is a popular campus-wide look; however, a cute fitted T-shirt and fitted sweats or shorts (both college apparel) look a lot better than a baggy T-shirt and an over-sized bottom.

2. Make sure your hair is neat and polished. Accessories always look better when everything else is in order.

3. Add earrings. Simple studs or hoops are great accessories for college apparel and don't make you look too over-done for class.

4. Create dimensions with bangles. Put two or three bangles on one wrist to add complexity to your outfit.

5. Choose a cute athletic shoe so you can be both chic and comfortable.

6. Think of what you need to carry: Books, personal items, papers. Choose a tote or hand bag to carry them in. Don't select just any hand bag. Choose one that is comfortable and functional yet fashionable. Deciding on a hand bag or tote to carry your items in is way more fashionable, and a better accessory, than a backpack.

7. Decide on whether or not you want to wear a hat. A hat can cover up a bad hair day but can also mess up a cute ponytail.
