Things You'll Need:
- newspaper
- art materials

Step 1
Sell it to a recycling facility. Some schools have yearly paper drives, where students are required to bring loads of newspaper to raise funds. Donate your newspaper to schools, or sell them to a recycling facility directly. Some cities have newspaper bins, but contact your local facilities and resources department if you have trouble locating one.

Step 2
Make a kids' project. Newspapers can be used transformed into art through paper-mâché, a material that is made when paper, glue, starch and water are combined together. Some types of masks are created as paper-mâchés, which are then painted to create it artistic. When paper-mâché is dried, it hardens into the shape in which it is formed when wet.

Step 3
Use it as a wrap to breakable decor for storage. Fragile decorations from Christmas such as christmas tree charms, ceramic bells and lights can be wrapped with newspapers before placing in a plastic tote. This will prevent breakable things to touch each other that may cause cracks or dents. Add extra newspaper inside the tote for extra padding.

Step 4
Lining for a pet house. If you have a pet in a cage, like a parrot or a rabbit, you can use newspapers to line the bottom of the pet house for easy cleaning later. You can just take the newspaper out after a couple of days when it is soiled and dirty, and replace it with fresh sheets of newspaper.

Step 5
Use it as stuffing to give shape to shoes and bags. Some materials used to make shoes and bags tend to crumple easily, so by stuffing it with newspaper, it retains its shape while not in use. Insert pieces of newspaper into shoes that are made with soft material that can lose shape. This is the secret used to make bags last longer-- when you buy bags at a department stores, they are stuffed with newspapers in order to make them appealing and also so that they will not wrinkle easily.
