How to Create Mouse-over Images on Picture Links in Yahoo Site Builder

Step1
Open up the application and load the page. You will need to double-left-click on the Yahoo Site Builder application icon in order to open up the program. Then load the website that you wish to work on.
Step2
Insert the image that you would like to be the picture link. You will need to insert an image before you can make it into a link. Left-click on the “Insert” tab on the command bar; a submenu will open. Scroll to “Image” and select; browse to the desired image and insert it.
Step3
Use the mouse and right-click on the image to access the properties. Once you have sized the image and placed it on the page where desired, right-click on the image; a submenu will open. Left-click on properties; a pop-up box will open. Left-click on the “Browse” button on the right hand side of the box, next to the “Mouse-over Image” field, and select the image desired. Then click the “OK” button to save the selection.
Step4
Test the image in the browser using the “F12” button. Site builder has a hotkey that allows you to view what your page will look live. Simply press the “F12” button, and a browser will open. Make sure to test the image before publishing your website.

Tips & Warnings

  • Make sure that you have an image selected that you would like to be displayed as the mouse-over image.
  • Save before making any changes, so you can go back if you need to.
