Instructions

    • 1

Read the guest speaker's bio and other information pertaining to her. If you have the time and resources interview her and ask questions that might be pertinent. Ask her if she would like anything else mentioned that you don't have written down.

    • 2

Make a bullet list of all the key points you would like to mention in the introduction. Any special awards, educational achievements, certifications, notable feats should be mentioned. If the speaker is extraordinary because of something she did in relation to her age be sure to add in her age.

    • 3

Organize the points into a logical order. Start with her name, age and place of birth. Move into her educational background and how that led her into the capacity she is currently known for. Continue with her list of achievements and honors. Mention any recent news or happenings that have happened to your guest. Use this to segue into an examination of her character and personality. Then say. "It's a pleasure to have you with us." Then say her name.

    • 4

Write out a rough introduction and read it aloud to another person. Ask for feedback as to the flow and rhythm of the intro as well as the appropriateness of content. Correct and edit as needed.

    • 5

Record yourself reading the introduction aloud. Listen to it and make sure everything sounds clear and makes sense.

Tips & Warnings

  • Ask the speaker how to correctly pronounce their name before the event
