  • 1 tbsp clay: Kaolin, Fuller's Earth or any powder clay from health food stores
  • 1 egg
  • Mashed avocado
  • Witch hazel – oily skin
  • Rosewater – sensitive skin
  • Honey - moisturizing

  1. How to Make Your Own Mud

      Decide on your skin type. Do you have oily skin or sensitive skin? This will determine the ingredients you should use.

      Mix the tablespoon of clay and the egg together (egg whites firm the skin and egg yolks nourish skin) and add a little bit of honey for a moisturizer.

      Add the final ingredients. When the clay and liquid are pasty and mud-like, add the avocado and the witch hazel or rosewater and stir until the mixture is smooth.

      Put it on your face. Leave the mixture on for 10-15 minutes before washing it off with your regular cleanser and some moisturizer (even if you used honey).

      Stick the left-over mixture in the refrigerator. This mixture is good for about four weeks.
