Things You'll Need:
- Mirror
- A medical professional
-
Step 1
Stand in front of the mirror, turning your foot out so that you can see the inside of your foot. This is the area of the foot that would lay flush against the other foot when brought together. Look at your feet and see if you have an arch.
-
Step 2
When standing with your foot turned out if you foot is flat on the floor, or very low to the floor, this is the main symptom of Pes Planus. Pain in a low arch of the foot can be another symptom of Pes Planus.
-
Step 3
If your foot is flat on the floor and you do not have an arch you should contact a medical professional especially if you have pain when you walk or have problems walking.
-
Step 4
Once the condition has been identified the medical professional will help you uncover the reason for the flat foot and help with treatment options.
