How to Put Together an Attractive Housewarming Gift

  1. Step 1

Make note of what kinds of colors or patterns and snacks your friend liked to keep at his/her old home. For example, perhaps he/she is really into Asian inspired art and furniture and likes to unwind with a cup of Earl Gray.

  2. Step 2

Purchase an attractive, but useful container in which to put the gift. If your friend is really into wine tasting for example, purchase a nice wine/champagne bucket. Or, if your friend is an avid magazine reader, buy a nice magazine organizer that fits the decor of his/her new home.

  3. Step 3

Fill the container with treats you know your friend will enjoy! A bottle of wine or champagne is nice, but your friend will probably get quite a few of those. Try to purchase his/her favorite tea or coffee or treats, perhaps include a book by an author you know he/she regularly enjoys. Choose something your friend can relax with at the end of a hard day.

  4. Step 4

Place some decorative tissue paper inside the container, then place the gift items inside. Arrange them in a way so as best to attractively display them, rather than just dumping everything in. Perhaps you can add some potpourri or flower petals for a finishing touch.

  5. Step 5

Finish the gift off with a ribbon or bow that compliments the color scheme of the gift. You're done! You have just assembled, a personalized, useful, yet attractive housewarming gift that you know nobody else will be bringing along!
