How to Make a Citrus Cream Astringent

Things You'll Need
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
- 2 tsp. honey
- 6 oz. plain yogurt
- Small mixing bowl
- Fork
- Handheld electric mixer
- Cotton ball
- Washcloth
- Towel

In a bowl, mix the lemon juice and honey with a fork until they are fully incorporated.

Add the yogurt and with an electric mixer, blend to a smooth, whipped cream.

Using your fingers, smooth over face like you would a face wash, rubbing in a gentle circular motion.

Massage into skin for about 30 seconds and then remove with a warm, damp wash cloth.

Dip a cotton ball into a bit of plain lemon juice and apply to face the same way you would a store bought astringent. Let skin air dry.

Rinse your face by splashing it with lukewarm water and pat dry with a towel.

Tips & Warnings
You can substitute lemon juice for other citrus juice like grapefruit, but do not mix lemon and grapefruit juice together.
Lemon juice can remove the color out of hair, so make sure you rinse the lemon juice from your eyebrows and hair line before going into the sun.
