Shiatsu is a Japanese massage technique. In earlier days it was mainly used within families. In this century Japanese therapists like Namikoshi and Masunaga, developed shiatsu into a professional therapy. They introduced shiatsu in Europe. At the moment shiatsu is becoming more and more known in Europe. That is not strange, because shiatsu is very effective and easy to apply.

  1. Step 1

    For headaches due to anxiety press the points; 11, 15, 20

  2. Step 2

    For back head headaches, press the points; 8, 16, 17, 27

  3. Step 3

    For top head headaches, press the points; 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 10, 11, 21

  4. Step 4

    for headaches due to general or unknown causes, press the points; 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 10, 11, 20, 21, 26

  5. Step 5

    For migraine, press the points; 1, 7, 12, 26

  6. Step 6

    For headaches due to sinusitis, press the points; 1, 7, 10, 18, 24, 32

Tips & Warnings
  • For some points you can ask for the assistance of one of your family members or your friends.
  • Apply gentle pressure using your thumb.
  • Don't practice such treatments right after meals.
  • Don't apply pressure for more than 10 seconds.
  • You can repeat the treatments as many as 3 times a day.
  • This kind of treatment isn't ALTERNATIVE to seeing your doctor.
