How to Download Classic Games for the Nintendo Wii
The Nintendo Wii offers you the ability to download classic games from some of your favorite older consoles, including the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), Super NES, Sega Genesis and Nintendo 64. The games must be purchased and downloaded from the system's "Wii Shop Channel."

1
Purchase Wii Points. You can buy cards with specific amounts of Wii Points from a number of retailers -- most places that sell Wii games and accessories will have them. Points can also be purchased directly through your console with a credit card.
-
2
Start up your Wii and select the "Wii Shop Channel" from the main menu. Once the shop loads, click "Start Shopping."
-
-
3
Select the "Virtual Console" in the Wii Shop.
-
4
Browse through the games in the "Virtual Console." You can browse popular games or new releases, or search a game's title or category.
-
5
Select your game and click "Download." If you have not already added Wii Points to your account, you will be prompted to use your Wii Points card or credit card here. Once the purchase is confirmed, the game will download to your Wii and will be available in the main menu.

Tips & Warnings
Games you download once from the "Virtual Console" are always available for you to download again, so you can delete a game from the menu if you need the memory and re-download it later if you want it back.
