    Search

  1. Step 1

Start your search by typing the friend's name into a search engine such as Google. Type his first and last name inside quotation marks and hit the search button. If you know the state he currently resides in, you can add that into the search bar as well. Look through the results for specifics that pertain to your friend.

  2. Step 2

Search classmate websites. There are several sites on-line that let you search for people you went to school with by inputting information about your school and year of graduation.

  3. Step 3

Try social networking sites. Sites such as MySpace and Facebook have become increasingly popular and many people utilize these sites. Since these sites are so popular, try searching under groups such as professional associations or high schools.

  4. Step 4

Check out alumni websites that include profiles and forums. These are great places to search for old friends from school.

  5. Step 5

Create profiles on as many of these sites as possible. You never know when an old friend might be searching for you.

Tips & Warnings
  • You do not have to make your email address public to use social networking sites. If you would like to keep your email private, make sure that you check that option when setting up your profile.
