How to Make a Romance Novel Cover Wallet

Romance novels have great covers that are works of art that stand on their own, not just as part of a book. If you have a romance cover that you love, you can recycle it into a unique wallet!

Things You'll Need

• One paperback romance novel cover
• One piece of vinyl or heavy fabric that is six inches longer and two inches wider than your cover
• Super glue
• Laminate or clear plastic sheeting
• Woven Ribbon

Instructions

Making a Romance Novel Cover Wallet

1. Spread your vinyl or fabric face down on a hard surface.

2. Spread a thin coat of glue on the back of your book cover. Center the cover on your material, leaving three inches at the top and bottom of the cover and one inch on either side of the cover. Allow the glue to dry.

3. Turn the wallet over and fold your three inch flaps in. Glue the sides together to form pockets on each end. Allow the glue to dry.

4. Turn the wallet over so that the cover is face up. Cut the plastic sheeting to fit the wallet. Use a thin layer of glue along the edges to secure the plastic sheeting to the wallet.

5. Cut two lengths of woven fabric ribbon that are the same length as the wallet. Fold each length of ribbon in half length-wise. Glue the ribbon on each side of the wallet.
