How to Make a Family Recipe Book
Chances are, if you sit down and mull it over, you could come up with enough family recipes to create at least a small book. There's Aunt Mary's Cinnamon Cherry Rolls; Dad's Secret Barbecue Sauce; and Grandma's Peanut Butter Fudge. Create a family recipe book to cherish and preserve your favorite foods, or make several and give them as gifts.

1
Create a cover for your recipe book using a word processor or publishing program on your computer and print it onto one half of the colored card stock, printed in Portrait setting. Alternatively, use a marker to write a title on half of the card stock. Cut the card stock in half.

Type recipes two to one page, making certain that each recipe is on either the top or bottom half of that page without overlapping. Each recipe should be on an area that measures 8 1/2 inches wide by 5 1/2 inches long.

3
Print out the recipes and cut the pages in half. If you do not have a printer, you can write the recipes onto the card stock either before or after cutting the pages in half.
-
4
Using the hole punch, punch a hole in each piece of card stock in the bottom left hand corner. Be very careful to line up each card and make certain they are all punched in the same spot.
-
5
Place the cover on top of the stack of recipes, and the other half of the colored card stock on the bottom with all of the punched holes lined up. Insert the screw post into the holes and fasten.
