on 9/27/2009 Get a pre-paid TracFone at any Walmart and call over 100 countries for as little as 15 cents per minute and $7 a month to service. The beauty of this option is the fact that you pay as you go, meaning no two year contract, no hidden costs and no restricted times and days of the week. For kids studying abroad, for business travelers and hard core travelers the best way for their friends and family in the US to contact them is through a TracFone. If the traveler is staying put in Canada and Mexico, they can even establish up to three local lines to stay in touch with a TracFone in the US for the same local fees. Talk to me about that!
