How to Decorate a Room With a Superman Theme

Superman has become an icon both in the United States and throughout the world. Perhaps you or somebody you know is a huge Superman fan. A room dedicated to the Man of Steel would be loved by any Superman fan. Here is how you can decorate a room with a Superman theme.

1. Begin by painting the walls of your room red, white and blue. Superman, after all, is the great American hero. You should paint the walls solid colors so you can decorate them with other items as well. You could also simply decide to paint the walls strictly red, white or blue.

2. Paint the Superman “S” on the walls of the room. This is a relatively simple symbol to paint and either you or somebody you know should be able to put this on your walls with little difficulty. If your wall is white, you could paint the “S” in red. You could do the same if your have a blue wall. Any combination of red, white and blue for your walls and the “S” will suffice for a room with a Superman theme.

3. Search for Superman comics and place them throughout the room. There are a plethora of Superman comics based on different stories regarding the Superman legend. The comics you buy can be based upon which stories you enjoy or how much money you wish to spend. You will be able to find these comics by searching online or going to your local comic book store.

4. Hang Superman posters on the walls of the room. Much like the comics, there are various types of Superman posters depending on what it is you're looking for. There are posters from the TV shows like “Smallville” and “Lois and Clark” as well as posters from the Superman movies available.

5. Buy the “Lois and Clark” and “Smallville” DVDs and place them on a shelf in your room. This can be your small “library” dedicated to the Superman legend. You can even search for books dealing with these TV shows and place them alongside the DVDs. The DVDs can serve as more than a decoration, or course. You could watch the shows while in your Superman room.

6. Make a Superman cape and hang it somewhere in the room. All you really need in order to do this is a red piece of fabric and the ability to sew an “S” onto the fabric. Consult different pictures of the Superman costume to get the design perfect. If you have no artistic ability whatsoever (like me), you can even buy Superman costumes. Simply type in the phrase “Superman costume” on your favorite search engine in order to find many different types of capes that are perfect for your room.
