Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Medium size muslin drawstring bag
  • Bowl made from natural material (ie: wood)
  • Vervain
  • Sandalwood
  • Lavender
  • Hyssop
  1. Step 1

Gather equal parts of sandalwood, lavender, hyssop and vervain. Mix the herbs together by hand in a bowl made from natural material--such as a wooden bowl.

  2. Step 2

As you mix the herbs together, concentrate on relaxing, positive energies. Infuse the herbs with these energies.

  3. Step 3

Once you have mixed and infused the herbs, fill the muslin bag 3/4 full.

  4. Step 4

Pull the drawstring to close the bag. Tie a knot in the drawstring near the top of the bag to secure the herbs inside. Leave what is left of the drawstring to dangle on the side.

  5. Step 5

As you run the bath water, use the excess drawstring to tie the bag on the faucet so that the water can run through the bag as the tub fills. Or, if you wish, you can place the bag in the tub.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you decide to put the bag directly into the tub, you may want to take the excess drawstring and wind it around the top of the bag and secure it with another knot or tuck the end into the already wound string.
  • Depending on preference, you may wish to use a little more of one of the herbs for scent. Such as using more sandalwood or lavender.
  • Other herbs that can be used include peppermint, lovage, pine, woodruff or anise.
