Balloons can be both a great decorative item as well as a wonderful gift. Balloon bouquets consist of a variety of balloons on ribbons tied together to make a gift, centerpiece or other decoration.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • several different balloons
  • ribbons
  • scissors
  • helium tank
  • weight
  • decorative object
  1. Step 1

Figure out what the balloons are for; a birthday, graduation, wedding, anniversary or other event. Purchase balloons that coordinate with this event. If it's a wedding choose balloons in the wedding colors. If it's a birthday get balloons in that person's favorite colors as well as some that say "happy birthday" and/or their age.

  2. Step 2

Rent a helium tank. Blow up one balloon at a time with the helium. Cut a piece of ribbon with scissors and tie it to the balloon end. Try to color coordinate the ribbon with the balloon or use balloons and ribbons of opposite colors.

  3. Step 3

Continue this with all the balloons. Make sure to do this indoors in a room with low ceilings so they don't float away out of reach. Gather all the balloons in a single bunch. Hold the bunch in one hand. With your other hand adjust the levels of the balloons and create an attractive arrangement that you're happy with. There should be a variety of levels and blending of colors.

  4. Step 4

Cut the ends of the ribbons so they are all equal at the bottom. Tie the ribbons together in a knot. Select a themed decorative object. Tie it to the ribbon knot. If it's lightweight attach a weight to the object and ribbon knot. You want it to stay grounded. That's it! You just made a beautiful balloon bouquet!

Tips & Warnings
  • Color coordinate according to the event
  • Don't use too many different colors or patterns or the bouquet will appear cluttered
