- 100% OpenGL compliant video card
- 3-button scroll mouse
- 2GB of RAM
- 400 to 500MB disk space
- QuickTime or MediaPlayer
Step1
Make sure your operating system is supported by Google SketchUp. The program is supported on Windows 2000, XP and Vista and Mac OS X 10.4.1+ and 10.5+. You'll also need to have the latest version of QuickTime or MediaPlayer .
Step2
Confirm that you have met all the hardware requirements. Of most importance is having a video card that is 100% OpenGL compliant with the latest driver installed. Additionally it's recommended that your system have 2GB of RAM and 400 to 500MB available disk space and a 3-button scroll mouse.
Step3
Download Google SketchUp or Google SketchUp from the website. The file is large and takes a while to download, so you'll need to be patient.
Step4
Locate and double-click on the installation file. When the installation Wizard window appears, click "Next" and read the license agreement carefully before accepting the conditions. If you don't accept them you won't be able to install Google SketchUp, but it's a good idea to know Terms and Conditions before you agree to them.
Step5
Accept the Terms and Conditions, click "Accept" and, in the ensuing window, choose a destination folder by choosing "Change" or keep the default location. Hit "Next" when you're finished.
Step6
Click "Install" and wait for the Wizard to install Google SketchUp. As it is being installed, you will also see a pop-up window informing you that the program's features are being set up.
Step7
Decide whether you want Google to be your default browser and whether you want the toolbar to be installed on your browser and check the correct boxes when the box pops up. Click "Finish" to complete installation.
Step8
Double-click on the desktop shortcut to launch Google SketchUp.
