Before choosing a food for your English Bulldog, consult with your vet for recommendations. English Bulldog's are prone to allergies, weight-gain and hip displasia. You will want to choose a food that is good for joints, low in fat, and is not known to cause allergic reactions. Royal Canin is a highly recommended food that has a bulldog specific formula for adult bulldogs.

Read the dog food package to see the recommended amount to feed your dog based on it's age and weight. Remember that English Bulldogs sleep a great deal and tend to exert less energy than other dogs of the same age and weight. You will likely want to feed your dog less than the recommended amount. Consult with your vet about the amount you should feed your dog.
