Bikram yoga is also known as "hot" yoga, where you are put into a room heated to about 105 degrees F and 26 yoga poses are held during a 90-minute session. Utilizing all 26 Bikram poses is difficult at first, but with a persistence and consistency, the ease of utilizing the poses will be obtainable.

    Utilizing All 26 Bikram Yoga Poses

  1. Step 1

    Get hydrated the day before and the day of Bikram yoga class. Staying hydrated throughout the 90-minute session of yoga will help you with your poses since water helps with decreasing the events of dizziness and weakness. Your instructor will also tell you when to take your water breaks during the class, since there are times appropriate for water intake and not appropriate for water intake.

  2. Step 2

    Start off slow. If you are a beginner, do not be so concerned about completing the yoga poses. There are modified versions of all 26 yoga poses for those who are not as flexible or advanced as others. Bikram yoga is for everyone, regardless of age, weight and fitness level; therefore, do not over extend yourself if you are a beginner.

  3. Step 3

    Increase your flexibility. As you are continuing to attend your Bikram yoga class, do not be afraid to increase the amount of stretching you do when you are comfortable with the nature of each pose. If you have trouble doing so, revert back to what you are most comfortable with, but otherwise, try to challenge yourself each time you go to class. Utilizing the 26 poses of Bikram yoga will help with many different physical ailments that people may have; therefore, extending yourself little by little per class may decrease the severity of your physical ailments.
