This is the easiest and best recipe I have found for a whole chicken in the crock pot. It takes little preparation and turns out moist, and delicious every time. Does this Spark an idea?

      INGREDIENTS:

      1 - 3 to 4 pound whole chicken
      salt
      pepper
      butter
      parsley
      basil

    • 2

      Thoroughly wash chicken and pat dry. Sprinkle cavity generously with salt, pepper, and parsley. Place in crock pot; dot chicken breast with butter. Sprinkle with parsley and basil.

      Cover and cook on high for 1 hour, then turn to low for 6 to 8 hours. No water needed.
