How to walk on the ceiling
The kids are out of school, the rain still hasn't let up, and you've exhausted your list of rainy day entertainment. Enjoy a few moments of peace with this simple game of walking on the ceiling. Don't worry; this game does not involve any high-tech equipment or acrobatic skills.

1
First, gather enough vanity mirrors for each child. Garage sales and dollar stores sell cheap make-up mirrors if you do not have enough lying around the house. Instruct your child to place the mirror underneath his or her nose in a horizontal position. The child will appear to be peaking over the edge of the mirror.

2
While staring into the mirror, your child may begin "walking on the ceiling." A word of caution - make rooms or areas full of furniture off limits. Your children should have plenty of space to walk on the ceiling safely through the hallways or pathways in your house.

The bigger the imagination, the more fun this game becomes. Tell your kids to step over the beams and doorways to avoid tripping and balance carefully when walking on the vaulted ceilings.

4
Now, sit back with a good book and a cup of coffee. Don't get too engrossed in your novel, though. You never know how long your children will play before you hear for the umpteenth time today, "I'm bored! There's nothing to do!"
