How to Date Jewish Girls

Count up the number of dates you have been on in the last two months. Now, assess how well each of those dates has gone. You should consider whether you have gotten a second date with any of the women and how long the date lasted. If you find yourself disappointed, consider the possibility that you do not have an understanding of the woman's heritage and religion. Catholic, Muslim, or Jewish – if you make one wrong gesture or inappropriate joke, the date will surely be headed for disaster.

  1. How To Date a Jewish Woman

    • 1

Learn your date's religious orientation and ethnic background immediately. Maybe you aren't sure if she is Jewish-born or raised under Catholicism. Do not assume. Disclose your own religious identity and then politely inquire as to her orientation.

    • 2

Remain culturally and religiously sensitive to your date at all times. The lighting of candles is a large part of the Jewish faith. They represent togetherness and spirituality. Do not mock any religious artifacts or symbols at her residence. If you are curious as to their nature, politely ask her about them in a non-threatening tone of voice.

    • 3

Understand that the link between family members plays a large role in the Jewish faith. Refrain from bashing your own family members when on your date, as it may signal that you are not a family oriented person. You want to appear as family-friendly as possible – otherwise, you risk the chance of meeting her family.

    • 4

Find out if your date takes place on a religious day of worship or holiday. Be sensitive to the customs of that particular holiday and incorporate them into your date (if possible, but don't force it). Maybe she has invited you over for a family gathering that takes place on a day of worship – but shouldn't you understand the importance behind the Shabbat meal before you eat it?

    • 5

Become familiar with the Jewish sacred literature. Many who practice the Jewish faith live their lives by the words of the Torah. If you plan to engage in a long-term relationship with a devoutly Jewish woman, you will want to gain a broad understanding of the Torah.

Tips & Warnings

  • Visit a local house of worship in order to gain a better understanding of your date's faith. There, you will be able to peruse literature that greater expounds upon the Jewish faith and their many customs.

  • Do not abuse the Jewish terminology. Your goal is to understand her religious beliefs and not to mock them.

  • Do not force your own religious beliefs onto her. While the exchange of beliefs and customs is often enlightening, when you force your beliefs onto her during a date, you assure an early end to the night.
