  • Rump roast or 1 lb of sirloin tip roast
  • Crock-pot
  • 1 bottle of Italian Dressing or olive oil
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Oregano
  • Beef bullion cubes
  • Water
  • Hot and banana peppers
  • Garlic powder
  • French bread

      Season your meat with salt, black pepper, oregano and garlic powder.

      Place the seasoned meat into the crock-pot along with water, beef bullion cubes and 1 bottle of olive oil or Italian dressing. Cook the ingredients tom medium-low for 6 hours, stirring occasionally.

      Notice when the meet gets tender and is easy to shred. This is usually after cooking for around 6 hours. Cooking times may vary and you may need to cook the meet for longer or slightly shorter periods of time.

      Remove the meat from the crock-pot and shred it so that it can fit on your French bread to make sandwiches. Once the meat it shredded return it to the crock-pot and stir your ingredients together.

      Warm up your French bread and add Italian beef, peppers, and the juices from the crock-pot to your bread. You can also pour in juices from your pepper jars if you want to make your sandwich more spicy. Enjoy your sandwich!

  • If you prefer, you can purchase the meat already cooked and sliced from your local deli. You can also purchase the gravy instead of making your own.
