  1. How to Heal Through Reflexology

    • 1

Place the towel on the table.

    • 2

Tell your volunteer to lie down on the table and place his feet on the towel.

    • 3

Place your hands on the feet, then lightly squeeze the feet all over.

    • 4

Stroke the left foot gently with both hands, the foot sandwiched between your hands while stroking. Do this eight times, then work on the right foot.

    • 5

Slide both thumbs down and along the inside of the left foot. This is where the spine reflex is located. Stimulation of the spine reflex may improve nerve health. Stroke this area from the base of the toe to the end of the heel, sliding your thumbs up and down the length of the foot eight times. Then press your thumb into the same area, working from the bottom of the heel to the top of the big toe. Work the right foot the same way.

    • 6

Lightly press your thumb all over the bottom of the left foot, working from bottom to top and from side to side. Do the same on the right foot.

    • 7

Lightly press your thumb into the top of the left foot, working in rows from the point between each toe and stopping at the ankle. Do the same on the right foot.

    • 8

Lightly press your thumb all over the bottom of each toe, then release and repeat. Do this eight times on each toe.

    • 9

With your left hand held against the bottom of the toes for support, lightly press the end of your right forefinger into the tops of each toe, working all over the top of each toe, pressing eight times on each toe.

    • 10

With the fingertips of both hands, make circular movements on the inner and outer sides of the left ankle, circling eight times. Work on the right ankle in the same manner.

    • 11

End the reflexology session by gently pressing your thumbs into the center bottom point of the ball of each foot, at the same time. Hold this position for a few moments.
