Things You'll Need:
- Yoga mat
- Loose clothing

Step 1
Understand the Focal Point principle. This principle means that you must know first where the focal point of the pose is going to be, whether it is your pelvis, heart or upper palate (these are known as the core points). The first principles of muscular energy and organic energy go in and out of your focal point. Locate your focal point first in your pose. If all three core points are activated at once, the pelvis point is the default focal point.
-
Step 2
Understand the Side Body Long principle. Perform this by aligning your ribs with the top of your shoulders. Doing this allows for better body alignment and easier breathing while posing.
-
Step 3
Perform the Shoulder Loop principle. The Shoulder Loop is one of seven different energy loops in Anusara Yoga. The Shoulder Loop is important because it opens up the throat for more air intake. Perform this by pulling your upper arms as far back as you can. At the same time, try to make your shoulder blades touch your spine and go down the spine.
-
Step 4
Understand the Inner Body Bright principle. This principle basically lets your inner peace be reflected on the outside of your body. You can do this by focusing on the first principle, Opening to Grace, which says to approach Anusara Yoga with softhearted devotion. When you do this, you open yourself to loving yourself. That love shines as Inner Body Bright.
