Set the stage with this beautiful, winter wedding church pew decoration. It is easy to make and supplies are easy to find once the Christmas decorations are out in the craft stores or if you have a permit for a wholesale craft market.
You'll set the stage for a lovely and glistening aisle with these pew swags.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1-2 swags of winter greens (mixed are nice)
  • 2 medium length branches of faux icicles stems
  • 3, 12-14 inch Ostrich Feathers
  • 1 Faux crystal ornament
  • Ribbon for l large bow with tails
  1. Step 1

*Take the greens that make up the swag and hold with tips of greens facing downward
*Grasp the greens in your hand or lay them on a counter
*Take your twigs of icicles and place the end of the stick into the swag of greens where they all meet at the main stem, place one to the left and one to the right
*Take the 3 Ostrich feathers and tuck two of them into the greens so they are showing and in a nice location. Take the 3rd feather and place it so that it sticks out at the top of the arrangement, off to the right side.
*Place the faux crystal ornament in the middle of the greens hanging in the center by the attached wire or string
*Hold the bundle of all the greens, icicles, stems etc. and wrap them all together at the end with a florist wire. Make sure it is strong and it will hold them tightly together

  2. Step 2

*Finish the swag with a beautiful, wide ribbon. Tie it tightly to the swag and let two tails hang down on each side. The ribbon can be in the middle at the top of the swag, or off to one side.

  3. Step 3

*Hang the swag by wire, or a hook on the pew
*Make as many of these as you want

Tips & Warnings
  • These look beautiful alternated with candelabras on the church pews with glowing candles
  • These swags can be taken to the reception site and hung on backs of chairs, door handles etc. Use them again to add to your reception decor.
  • Use the same concept, but match it to your colors and theme with other twigs, branches, greens, grasses etc. Use your imagination and vary the style to suit your taste.
