Dealing with two children under three years old is a hard thing to do at home, now going on a road trip, that is another story. Although you can turn it around to be a great fun and learning experience.

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

It's a really good idea bring along a few small toys, or even some of the dreaded noisy toy. You can use these in between other activities. Also bring books, not only can you read to them on the road, they also can look at the pictures.

  2. Step 2

One activity is to point out the different animals in fields along the way. Then as you go along ask them what animals they can see when looking out the windows. It's a fun way to learn as you go.

  3. Step 3

Next one is to point out colors on cars and trucks and do the same as you did with the animals. Keep the colors basic though. You also point out the 18 wheelers. You can watch their eyes get huge as you pass them.

Tips & Warnings
  • Stop a lot and let them get out and strech. You'll be glad you did.
  • Don't be afraid to invent new games.
