Measure the space you plan to install the tub in. You can get walk-in tubs with a variety of dimensions, or you can tear out and rebuild a wall to fit the tub you choose.

Rip out the existing tub. Remove the first row of tile first, then turn off the water supply, remove all hardware, and use the crowbar to pry the tub away from the wall. Once you have broken it free it should be easy to remove.

Examine the surrounding area to be sure you have clearance for plumbing as well as any ventilation or electrical needs if you are installing a tub w/ spa type accessories. Use the drywall saw to cut access panels and adjust any plumbing issues you may have.

Set the new tub in place, making sure the plumbing lines up properly. Check for plumb and level in all directions. Install all the fixtures and connect the drain. Tighten everything thoroughly, and turn the water back on to check for leaks
