How to Play Othello Online

Do you love board games, but never have anyone to play with? Do you enjoy a quick game on your lunch break? Playing games online is for everyone from the casual player to the hard-core gamer. Othello is a classic strategy game that is fun for everyone, but finding someone to play when you want isn't always easy. That's where online play comes in.

Instructions

    • 1

      Click on your "Start" menu.

      Go to "All Programs."

    • 3

      Go to "Accessories."

    • 4

      Go to "Games."

      This is the MSN Internet Reversi window

      Click on "Internet Reversi." This will open a new window.

      Connecting to Server

      Click "Play." The game will say "Connecting to Internet game server," then "Looking for another beginner player."

      Begin the game by placing your piece next to an opponent's piece. Their's must be sandwiched between yours to flip them to your color.

      Mid-game

      Continue playing until you win! The object is to turn most of the pieces to your color.

Tips & Warnings

  • There are also many website to play Othello/Reversi. I provided a link to one that I like, but a simple Google search will provide you with hundreds more choices.

  • There is a chat window at the bottom. You may turn it on/off by clicking the corresponding dot next to the box. It is pre-selected chat, so you can only choose what to say from a pull down menu.
