Visit donationline.com and click donate a vehicle.

Fill out the information. Make sure that you have the title to the car or Donationline can not accept it. When you are done filing out the information you can click submit. Wait two days for a representative to call you.

Make arrangements with the representative that calls you for a pick up time. The representative will arrange for a tow truck to come directly to your house at a time you are going to be there. Hand over the car and the title at that time and accept a receipt from the tow truck driver.

Select a charity to donate your car to. Donationline currently works with over 400 charities. If your charity is not on that list, that is okay. Just give them all the details of the organization including address and phone number.

Receive your tax deduction receipt. This will take approximately six to eight weeks. Donationline needs time to assess your vehicle to determine it's worth. The organization will send the money to the charity of your choice with instructions to send a tax receipt to you directly. Get the tax deduction from the charity, not from Donationline. That takes a few weeks.

You can not claim a deduction for your junk car if you do not have the receipt from the charity. If you don't receive your receipt in six to eight weeks give them a call to see if you car has been processed.
