How to Design Menu Covers

It is the first thing people see when they are about to open the menu to make their selection, so keep the cover simple and clean looking. All you will need on the front of your menu cover are the logo and the name of the restaurant. How to Design Menu Covers
-
1
Buy card stock if you plan to make the cover on your own. Pick the color of your choice although it should be light in color so the words are read easily. You must have access to a computer and printer to make a menu cover on your own.

2
Cut and paste the logo of your restaurant and center the logo on the page. If the logo does not have the name of your restaurant in it, then print the restaurant name underneath or on top of the logo.

3
Print out the menu cover and proofread it. If you like it, then take it to a copy center and have the copies made. Always make extra copies in case some are destroyed or dirtied from regular dinner service.

4
Meet with the designer if you plan to have someone else make the covers for you. Discuss your needs. If you don't have a logo, then the designer will be able to design a logo for you. This may cost you from $200 to $1,000 to get the menu covers designed and printed professionally.

5
Order extra copies from your printer in case some of the menu covers are destroyed from regular dinner service.
