1
Pick your base oil. Depending on your tastes, you will start with a base oil with a light base oil. Taste different oils to see which one suits you best. A light tasting oil is best so it will not overpower the flavoring that you add. Some light tasting oils include sesame oil, sunflower oil and grapeseed oil.

2
Pour about four ounces of your light oil into a sauce pan. Make small amounts of edible massage oil at a time so that they won't spoil before you get a chance to use them all.

Add the flavoring of your choice to the saucepan. If you are using an extract such as almond or vanilla, you only need a small amount, about one half of a teaspoon to each four ounces of oil. If you are using flavored coffee syrups to flavor your oil you might want to add up to a teaspoon. There are so many flavored coffee syrups available it might be hard to choose one!

4
Heat the oil and flavoring mixture gently on medium heat, stirring constantly. The heat will help the flavors bind throughout the oil. Heat the oil mixture for about 5 to 7 minutes.
-
5
Let the oil mixture cool down to room temperature. Once your oil is cool, pour it into a seal-able bottle or container. Store your oil in the refrigerator to keep it from spoiling, warming it up in a cup of warm water or the microwave before use.
