Instructions

  1. How to Hatch Sea Monkeys

    • 1

Clean out and dry the tank in which you are going to house the Sea Monkeys.

    • 2

Fill the tank with room-temperature filtered or distilled water.

    • 3

Pour in the water conditioner. Generally you can just use the purifier that comes with a Sea Monkey kit. There are other water conditioners at pet stores and in the pet section of larger stores. Look for a conditioner that gets rid of chlorine. Add the proper amount to the tank, according to how much water is being used.

    • 4

Let the water sit for a day to ensure that any harmful substances will be gone before adding the eggs.

    • 5

Pour the Sea Monkey eggs into the tank, after waiting for 24 hours.

    • 6

Stir the eggs for a minute. This will help the material around the eggs dissolve. Your Sea Monekys should appear soon.

    • 7

Look for tiny black dots in the water. Those are the Sea Monkeys! Feed your new pets once a week, and soon you will have full-grown Sea Monkeys.

Tips & Warnings

  • Boiled tap water can be used in lieu of distilled or filtered water. Of course the water should be brought to room temperature and purified before putting Sea Monkey eggs in it.

  • Don't skip the one-day wait. The condition of the water is of utmost importance. Be patient and let the water sit for at least 24 hours.
