Step 1
Eat at least three meals per day. Although you may not always get 100 percent of your entire daily recommended nutrition, teens need to eat at least three square meals and no more than six meals per day. Whether you are swamped with school work or sports, you always need to make time to eat because some nutritional values can only be found in food you consume and not in a multivitamin and vice versa. If you require a special diet, it is recommended that you consult with your doctor for assistance.

Step 2
Consider taking a multivitamin daily. Children grow the most during their teenage years and need all the nutrition they can get and this nutrition won't always come from food. It is recommended that teens take a multivitamin each day (usually in the morning during breakfast) to make up for nutrition that may have been missed in the normal meals that the teen consumes each day.

Step 3
Stay active. Many teenagers elect to play sports in order to stay fit; however, it doesn't matter how you do it, teens need to exercise routinely just like adults. It is recommended that you exercise three to five times per week (depending on your age and current health). Teens that are in doubt about what they should do to stay active should ask their parents for assistance or make an appointment with your physician so he can assist you in ways to become and stay active.
