How to Change Text Colors and Gradients in Paint Shop Pro Photo XI
There are now a plethora of great graphical design programs on the market. They offer an array of bells and whistles that are certain to make editing photos and creating designs easier than ever. The most commonly used feature in any of these programs is the ability to add text, change the colors and implement color gradients.

Open the application and the image. You will need to double left-click the Paint Shop Pro Photo XI application and open up the image that you wish to edit.

Add the desired amount of text to the image. On the toolbar to the left, there is text button that is labeled with the letter “A”. You will need to left-click on this “A” button to activate the text tool and then left-click on the image to add text; which will open a text box. You can type in the desired text, and font, as well as font size. Click “Okay” to implement the text to the image.

Make sure to right-click on the text box to add colors or change them. Once you have implemented the text, there will be a box displayed around it every time that you left-click over the text and select it. Left-click on the text to select it, and then right-click; a submenu will open. Scroll to “Properties” and left-click; a text properties box will open.

Change any desired colors to gradients. You will need to check-mark whether or not you want a stroke included (border) and or a fill. Under each heading will be a colored box, left-click to change the color; a color selection box will open. You can either choose a color from a palette or from a pre-selected list of commonly used colors. To change the text color to a gradient, simply select the “Gradient” tab and then select the desired gradient by left-clicking on it. Click the “Okay” button to implement your changes.

Tips & Warnings
There are plenty of great gradients that you can choose from, or check online for downloads that include more gradients for a nominal fee.
Make sure that you save a copy of the image before making any edits.
