While Facebook serves as a great website and tool to keep in touch with old friends, make new ones, and expand your network, getting too many requests to join groups and add applications can tend to be annoying. Fortunately, it's very easy to stop getting these requests.

How to Stop Getting Requests on Facebook

  1. Step 1

Log in to Facebook using your username and password.

  2. Step 2

On the next page, your homepage, click on the requests link under "Status Updates." A new page will pop up with requests from your friends to add applications or groups.

  3. Step 3

For each request that pops up, click "Ignore requests from this friend." This will make it so that anytime that particular friend sends you an invitation or request in the future, Facebook will block it without notifying the person sending it to you.

  4. Step 4

This process will take time, but eventually you will stop getting requests. This method also allows you to accept invitations and requests from only a select few, like the people you trust to send you requests that you'll be interested in.

Tips & Warnings
  • Be aware that once you block requests from a friend, you can't undo this action.
