How to Choose a Flattering Plus-Size Swim Suit
-
1
Learn to be objective about your body. There is no body that is all good or all bad. All women have flaws, as well as features that are flattering. Take a long look in a three-way mirror and make note of the things you'd like to highlight and those you would like to hide. Keep them in mind when trying to choose a flattering plus-size swim suit.

If you are worried about the shape of your body, you need to draw the eyes elsewhere. A great way to do that is to use darker colors in the areas you wish to minimize and lighter colors on those areas you wish to maximize. For instance, if you have wider hips but wish to accentuate your bustline, you would want darker colors on the bottom of your swimsuit and lighter colors near the top. (Also be sure to pick colors that highlight your complexion.)

Select design features that flaunt your best features. Support is important if your breasts are quite large, and will actually help flaunt this feature, which many find attractive. To create the appearance of an hour-glass shape, find swimsuits that gather just beneath the bust. Try on several different designs, making mental notes of how they make you look and (if possible) why. Choose the most flattering plus-size swim suit out of these and make it your outfit of choice for beach days.

Disguise flaws by selecting suits that either draw the eye elsewhere or cover up your problem areas. This is one of the simplest ways to choose a flattering plus-size swimsuit, yet often the one that is fought against the hardest. Using the cut, color and shape of your swimsuit to bring out the best while hiding the worst of your features is a much more flattering alternative than hiding beneath an oversized T-shirt or swimsuit coverup all summer.
