How to Play the Improv Game "A to Z"

1. The host solicits a non-geographical location and an unrelated object from the audience.

2. As the two players discuss the skeleton of their scene, the host explains the game to the audience.

3. The players set their positions to start the scene.

4. The host solicits a letter from the audience.

5. The players must start the scene using a line that begins with the letter from the audience.

6. The players alternate lines, beginning their line with the next letter of the alphabet.

7. The scene ends when the original letter is reached. The line that ends the scene must begin with this letter.

• Look up words that start with difficult letters, such as X, Q and Z
• Think ahead to your next letter
• Listen to your scene partner
• Don't forget to react to what your partner says in his or her line
