"A to Z" is a fun improv game that requires a quick wit and attention to detail. Listen to your scene partner and have fun!

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • One host
  • Two players

    How to Play the Improv Game "A to Z"

  1. Step 1

    The host solicits a non-geographical location and an unrelated object from the audience.

  2. Step 2

    As the two players discuss the skeleton of their scene, the host explains the game to the audience.

  3. Step 3

    The players set their positions to start the scene.

  4. Step 4

    The host solicits a letter from the audience.

  5. Step 5

    The players must start the scene using a line that begins with the letter from the audience.

  6. Step 6

    The players alternate lines, beginning their line with the next letter of the alphabet.

  7. Step 7

    The scene ends when the original letter is reached. The line that ends the scene must begin with this letter.

Tips & Warnings
  • Look up words that start with difficult letters, such as X, Q and Z
  • Think ahead to your next letter
  • Listen to your scene partner
  • Don't forget to react to what your partner says in his or her line
