Beaded Child's Headband

Beaded headbands are an easy and adorable way to dress up a little girl's hairdo. They are so easy to make that you will want to make one to match every outfit.Below you will find the simple instructions to make these too-cute hair embellishments.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 12 inches of 14 or 16 gauge jewelry wire
  • Beads (make sure the hole is big enough to allow the wire to go through)
  • Needle nose pliers
  • Scissors
  • 16 inches ribbon cut in two lengths
  • Hot glue

    Make Your Headband

  1. Step 1

Bend one end of wire over to touch the long end of the wire in order to form a loop on one end.

  2. Step 2

String beads in the pattern that you prefer on wire. When you have about one inch of bare wire left, stop stringing beads.

  3. Step 3

Bend bare end of wire over to touch bare end of wire in order to form a loop, as you did in Step 1.

  4. Step 4

Take one length of ribbon and hot glue it just above the first loop. Wrap around the raw edge of the loop and through loop until no wire is showing. Hot glue to secure. You should have a streaming ribbon remaining. Repeat this step for the second side.

  5. Step 5

Bend beaded wire to form a "U". Place it on the child's head and tie the ribbon ends together at the nape of neck.

Tips & Warnings
  • To keep ends of ribbon streamers from fraying, brush with clear nail polish and let dry completely.
