Step 1
Explore the world famous Las Vegas Strip at night. There are several free shows that you can enjoy as you walk the strip. The first is the Volcano at the Mirage. This goes off regularly throughout the night, at least once per hour. It is a short display, but can give you that cheesy Vegas tourist feel. Right next door is Treasure Island Casino. Outside of the casino they have a "Sirens" themed outdoor show featuring Sirens and Mermaids. The schedule for this varies, and it is posted outside the hotel on the strip. One more free option along the strip is the famous dancing fountains at the Bellagio. These fountains are choreographed to the music that is played, and they change colors as well.

Step 2
Sit down and watch the people on the strip as they walk by. Las Vegas draws all kinds of different people into the city. Sometimes it's fun just to watch them walk by and see how they react to all the stimulation the Las Vegas Strip supplies for tourists. This is also a good way to relax your feet and prepare for your next stop along the strip.

Step 3
If you want a free alcoholic drink, go into the casino and start playing a game. Of course you will be gambling with your own money, so if you lose while drinking you might not view it as free. As long as you are playing a casino game the waitresses will continue to bring you free drinks. Some games that have the lowest house advantages include blackjack and craps. You can also play slowly at a slot or video poker machine and enjoy your free drinks.

Step 4
Visit Fremont Street in downtown Las Vegas. Fremont Street is home to a lot of the older casinos in downtown Las Vegas. This gives you a chance to see the older part of town made famous in many movies. There is also an hourly "light parade in the sky" which is a great electronic display hourly on Fremont Street. They even dim all the other lights in the area when the light parade is displayed and it lasts about five minutes.

Step 5
Visit as many casinos as you can. It never costs money to enter the casinos and look around. Make it a goal to visit as many casinos as you can in Las Vegas while you are on your trip. This is a way to burn time in Las Vegas and entertain yourself while spending nothing on the activity.
