Modeling in Canada is something that is sought after many young teens and young children in hopes of fame and fortune. Although there are rare cases when fame and fortune can develop, this should not be expected for the average model. A model in Canada is forced with hard and challenging situations with unforeseen results. However, becoming a model is just as challenging as one can be faced with competition.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Find a talent agency to represent you. This may be the toughest thing to do. Finding a talent agency to represent you will be very challenging since many major talent agencies may be very selective in the type of models they like to keep on their roster. Therefore, if there the major companies do not accept you, try going to the smaller talent agencies to represent you. However, do NOT be fooled into paying an agency a fee for management. A talent agency will profit after they help get you casted in a photo shoot.

  2. Step 2

Go to open casting calls. Sometimes many modeling agencies will have open casting calls for new faces and talent. This is a great way to show face, literally, to the casting events and help you get your foot in the door. Remember to wear something that best fits your body and wear makeup that enhances your features, not takes away from them; less is more. Furthermore, be prepared to have your pictures taken. They will most likely keep your photos on file if they feel that they can use you as a model.

  3. Step 3

Get experience. If you do not find luck with any talent agencies, do some free modeling for local photographers in exchange for free pictures. Build your portfolio, this will help you with your future modeling events and casting calls.
