Instructions

    • 1

Cut the bottom off of paper bag and cut down one side to create one sheet.

    • 2

Crinkle the bag or kraft paper into a tight ball. Wet it thoroughly and let it dry until it's almost dried. Carefully flatten out the paper and finish drying it on a flat surface. Be careful not to rip the paper as it will be very fragile.

    • 3

Repeat step two. Once paper is completely dry for the second time, spread a liberal amount of decoupage paste in a thin coat over paper bag. Let dry.

    • 4

You are now ready to embellish your wrapping paper. A few suggestions would be to make faux "stitches" around leather with a brown marker, trim with leather fringe, stamp with western style stamps. The options are endless.

    • 5

      Wrap your package.

Tips & Warnings

  • Tear edges of paper before decoupaging to create an even more authentic look.
