How to Cast Spells to Grant Wishes

Wishing for more things in your life? Maybe you have your eye on a new car, desire a wonderful relationship, or want a higher paying job. If you think that you need to be a initiated pagan or have an athame to get started, think again. Anyone can cast spells and have their wishes granted. Casting spells dates back to prehistoric peoples asking that their desires be fulfilled, and you can be a part of this long standing tradition. The steps are easy to follow. The most important aspect of having your wishes granted is to be clear, focused, relaxed, and intentional.

Instructions

1. Prepare by writing down what it is that you want. The first part of casting a spell is to be clear. Decide what you want to have (like a new car) and write it down. Explore, in detail, everything about this car - what it looks like, what it feels like when you drive it, the new car smell, everything that you can think of including how the keys look. Put all this on paper. This is an extremely powerful part of the process. In order to have the things, feelings, and experiences that you crave, you must first be clear about what those things are.

2. Take a cleansing bath. Draw a warm bath and soak for 20 minutes. While you are bathing, relax and see yourself having what it is that you desire. Remember that this process should make you feel very good. If you are smiling while visualizing, you are on the right track. When you are done, dry off and dress. Keep your mood relaxed and light.

3. Find quiet, sacred space. Sacred space does not mean that you have to create an altar. Such props aid you in the process, but not everyone uses (or needs) them to cast spells. Finding a quiet place where you can be alone and away from distractions is crucial. In order to raise energy, you must be focused and intentional.

4. Draw a circle. As you stand, begin by facing the East. Extend your right arm in front of you. Point with your index finger and turn, clockwise, until you have made a complete circle. As you point and turn, imagine that you are creating a special, protective circle around you. You can imagine white light enveloping you or a ring of fire surrounding you. Whatever works best to make you feel protected so you can concentrate is what you should see.

5. Sit down. Your circle has been drawn and now you will sit quietly in the middle. Cross your legs with the left leg on top of the right.

6. Breathe deeply. Take in full, deep breaths that fill your lungs completely. Do this for a few minutes or until you are completely relaxed.

7. Visualize what you want. Hold that image in your mind. Use all of your senses to see your wish. See, smell, taste, touch, and hear your wish. Continue this step as long as it feels right, but for at least ten minutes. The longer you can do this, the more energy you raise.

8. Intend to have your wish come true. Take a stand with the Universe and say out loud, "I intend to have my wish granted by (include your date here)." Intention is the second most powerful component of making your wish come true.

9. Break the circle. Stand up and break the circle by turning counter clockwise. Your circle is now open. Take your good feelings and intention to have what you want out of the circle and into your daily routine.

10. Hold on to your desire. Let your wish be the first thing that you think about when you wake up and the the last thing in your mind before you go to sleep. This does not mean to obsess about what you want, but it does mean to live your life as if the wish is already granted.

Tips & Warnings

• If you have a hard time visualizing, draw what it is that you want or cut out pictures that represent your desire. Don't give up during the process if your wish does not come true right away. Your wish will always be granted, and sometimes in a far better way that you first imagined. Allow the process to unfold and trust the Universe.
