How to Use Vodka for Health and Household Issues

Vodka has been around for ages and is touted to be one of the most requested and versatile beverages around. Not only does it mix well into other alcoholic concoctions, but it can be used for many other things and situations. Whether you need to clean an appliance or clear up a rash, vodka may be the answer you have been looking for! Grab the bottle and get to work!

• Vodka
• Clean, empty spray bottle
• Cotton balls

1. Freshen your closet! If you aren't addicted to products like "Febreze" to freshen your clothes and house, vodka is a great garment odor killer. Simply put some Vodka into a spritzer and lightly spray your clothes. The vodka will kill odor-causing germs and leave no smell behind.

   Make your chrome sparkle. For you Harley or home owners with chrome or porcelain to spare, vodka makes a great cleaner. Simply dampen a cloth with vodka and rub down until sparkling.

   Stop the itch. If you have poison ivy or a mosquito bite, the alcohol in vodka will kill the itch and help to prevent infection from scratching. Just a dab will do it, or apply with a cotton ball soaked in vodka.

4. Cure the jelly fish sting. When swimming in the ocean, unlucky bathers may stumble upon a jelly fish and get stung. Extremely painful, you definitely want something to cut the pain. Drink some vodka, or better yet, apply it to the stung area to stop the sting. Much better than having a friend pee on you!

5. Make your hair shine! Add a shot of vodka to your 12 ounce bottle of shampoo and your hair will be shinier and more attractive!

6. Kill mold. Get some cheap vodka and fill a spray bottle with it. Spray on the mold and wait 15 minutes. Scrub away and your moldy problem areas will be a thing of the past.
