How to Prevent Cirrhosis
It’s okay to have a good time when you’re drinking. If you do it safely and in moderation, you can have a good time within reason. But if you binge drink often for years on end, it will not only affect the safety and relationships of those around you, it will damage your health by causing a disease known as cirrhosis.

How to Prevent Cirrhosis
-
1
Drink in moderation. There have been studies that show a single drink taken regularly will help your health. But please note that if you drink until you habitually drink alcohol until you are drunk for an extended period of time, you are putting yourself in serious danger of cirrhosis which is an irreversible disease.

2
Abstain from alcohol altogether. Drinking is a highly social function, but that does not mean you need to do it to have a good time. You’ll find that if you rely on alcohol to be an interesting person, you’ll become less satisfied with your sober self. Being responsible will also save the lives of others. As a non-drinker you can offer your services as a designated driver and keep the roads clear of danger.

Check into a rehabilitation clinic or an Alcoholics Anonymous program, if you think that you have a problem with alcohol abuse. The same applies if you suspect someone you care about is abusing alcohol. Alcoholism is a disease. If it goes untreated, it can lead to other diseases like cirrhosis and heart disease. Prevent that from happening by getting help.

Use a condom when having intercourse to prevent the spread of sexually transmitted diseases. Another, lesser-known cause of cirrhosis is hepatitis B and C. In chronic cases of hepatitis, cirrhosis of the liver is a common side effect. Just as in drinking, it will take a while before it will affect you.

5
Get regular STD checks, if you are sexually promiscuous or have had sexual relations with someone who is. While they may be embarrassing to get, you are going to have to bite the bullet for the sake of your health.
