Join the Arbor Day Foundation. Six-month and one-year memberships are available for $10 and $15 dollars respectively and include ten free baby trees.

Determine what hardiness zone you live in by entering you zip code. Based on your hardiness zone you will now be able to choose what type of trees you would like.

Choose between flowering trees, Colorado Blue Spruces, Redbuds, Norway Spruces, River Birches, Douglas Firs, trees that attract wild birds and shade trees. There is additional information available on each variety of tree to help you decide.

Complete your membership. In addition to your 10 free baby trees you will have access to savings on a large variety of trees from the Arbor Day Foundation catalog.

Wait for your ten free baby trees to arrive. They will come at the optimal time for planting in your area. Plant immediately or if you're unable to do so follow the instructions included with your trees.
